Welcome to Global Landcare, a non-profit organisation supporting overseas communities to sustain their land, water and biodiversity.

The Landcare approach is described as:

We have supported Landcare and projects around the globe including Germany, Iceland, New Zealand, Tonga, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Fiji, USA, Canada, Jamaica, Japan and 12 African countries.

We draw upon a wide range of expertise through our skilled members, our wider network and our excellent relationships with corporate and government organisations. Become a member or get involved through your company or organisation.

Our Global Landcare Program (GLP) manages The ALI Fund which provides small grants for projects carried out by established and new Landcare groups in developing countries. The program started in 2013 and we have supported projects in many countries to date.

Landcare and inclusive agriculture: achieving socio-ecological balance to shape our future.

What do undergraduate students from PNG, women village leaders from Vanua Levu, Māori leaders from Aotearoa, a First Nations knowledge holder from Cape York, and a researcher from Nanzan University in Japan, have in common? They all enjoyed a week of Landcare training and exchange in Nadi, July 2026, strengthening regional ties.

Talanoa—conversation grounded in listening, respect and connection—set the tone. Opening with a two-day Landcare-LIFE Training delivered through a partnership between Global Landcare and Fiji National University. Thirty trainees joined a wider group of 48 participants representing 10 countries, including Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Solomon Islands, Timor-Leste and Tonga.
